Waiting to be Burned by farmreporter

Waiting to be Burned

Clearing land to go into agricultural production can be ugly at times. There are huge brush piles of downed trees throughout this parcel of land all waiting to be burned.
There are also huge piles of rocks and boulders ready to be moved. All in all, this is not a pretty piece of land at the moment.
Beautifully disguised now!

That is one my major frustrations with some farmers around here. They feel it is faster and cheaper to just push it into a pile and burn it rather than salvage what they can for boards, then salvage some for firewood, and leave just a small brush pile for burning.
I hate waste!
Besides, it was a wonderful stand of mature trees that made excellent wildlife habitat. We need to preserve some of that as well.

a shame that burning it down is easier than recycling.

The clouds and shadows make this look almost like an oil painting. There’s a bit of Lawren Harris in it. Great image, even though it’s an aggravating story.

What a pity to hear that burning it is the easy way out.
