Mary Siegle @mcsiegle challenged me to take a photo with something different in all four corners.
I thought, how difficult can that be - LOL!!
Food photography came to mind at 3:30 when I was making tacos for supper.
Place a big plate of nachos in one corner, the fixin's to go in the tacos in pretty bowls in the other corner, the tacos on a bread board with tomato and green onions surrounding it. Sounds easy-peasy!
However, the daylight at this time of the year is short and I should have had my epiphany earlier so I could play with composition before the light disappeared!
So - rather than a beautiful get pushed presentation you see what I had for supper!
Better luck tomorrow. Ice cream and strawberries perhaps?
I like the composition. I think what I like is the green onion. I would have had a very hard time resisting actually placing something symmetrically in each corner of the picture. This asymmetric presentation is surely WAY more interesting.
Well, you’ve managed to make me hungry in the middle of the night! It seems you are discovering what I did when I tried this. It sounds like it will be easy, but it isn’t. If you crop this shot on the right, then you can get the bread board covering the upper right corner, and the lower right is table. But that might not be as interesting as shot as this. Whoever mentioned the green onion, I agree with them. It’s a really nice touch! Ice cream and strawberries sound good also. Yum!
@mcsiegle
I did crop it square with the tomato in the top right corner but it was not as nice of a shot.
What I will do with the ice cream shot is set the camera up with the focal length set, mark the corners with painters tape so I know where the corners are, and then place the ingredients in it.
Just too hard to do in post ...
great composition
Sometimes what first appears simple turns out complicated.
Will give it another try tomorrow ... thinking ice cream and strawberries!
Umm ... nope. I just fake it when I need to take a photo! lol!!
Great picture my friend
note to myself: never ever go to 365project website before breakfast.
So nice to hear from you.
I have not made it onto 365 for awhile since last Nov but will try to get on more...

So good to see you pop in once again! Hope life is treating you well.
