This is my second attempt at the get pushed challenge issued to me by Mary @mcsiegle where I am to have something different in all four corners of the photo.
This would have worked if the plate of cookies were backed into the corner more ...
Yes - I did try to crop the plate into the corner but I did not like the composition as much.
It's a fun challenge since I am working with a subject I get to eat when I am done!
Here's an attempt that I will count Mary @mcsiegle.
Thank you for the challenge - it is giving me a chance to practice food photography at the same time.
Food photography is not one of my strengths, that is for sure!
@robz
The plate is not technically right in the corner but I counted it, and the negative space in the top right is different than the rest so I counted that as well.
I may try this again ...
Aha! I see your strategy. First tacos...hmmm...you're not quite satisfied with that shot for the challenge. But someone has to eat the nachos and tacos...Fast forward a day. I love this composition! And, as you say, you get to eat it when you're done. I say mission accomplished. Please don't feel obliged to keep eating until you have the farthest bit of the corners covered differently. Ha ha
@farmreporter Hi Wendy, I found your challenge….. I hope you can be inspired by Dutch photographer Annemarie Spilker, I loved her portraits under the title ‘Searching to fill the emptiness’ ( http://www.annemariespilker.nl/html/portfolio-8.html ) could you do something with that frase? So no selfie is required…..
