This is my 365th picture to be posted, the end of Year 1 ... I wanted it to be a little different so I created a mosaic of the past year's photos and merged it with a beach picture.
Thanks so much to everyone who has commented, encouraged and helped me over the past year. Many times I nearly abandoned the project and didn't know whether I'd get this far.
What great way to finish year 1 - congratulations! I'm glad you didn't give up, I really enjoy your photos. Look forward to following you through the next year and beyond :)
Congratulations! I know it has been a hard slog from time to time, but your photography has grown by leaps and bounds, as has your creativity and your daring - up before dawn, wandering the streets at night, lying prone to get the right angle - the attributes of a really dedicated photographer. So impressed!! And what a great idea to do this anniversary mosaic!
That is such a great idea. Love the combination of shots and many congratulations on completing year 1. It is difficult to continue sometimes and recently I have missed some slots, but I have decided it doesn't really matter. I hope you continue, as this is such a great site for encouragement
Congratulations! I love this photo just as I love your others. You are creative and thoughtful in your photography and I look forward to many more of your wonderful images. I hope you find a fun way to celebrate this accomplishment. Love your photo merge!! Fav.
Congratulations . A great pic. and beautiful processing to celebrathe this mile stone. Have a even , or more, great second year. We `ll keep on following you.
@teresamaro Hi Teresa, I Googled 'how to create a photo mosaic' and watched a couple of tutorials. There is a free app you can download from a company called Mosaically but I did it the hard way! Tried to cheat at first and took a photo of the monthly views of the pics with the camera but didn't allow for screen distortion. If you do try it this way be sure to take the shot straight on.. I made a folder of all the shots and after bringing up grid view in Elements to line them up, dragged and dropped them in. You then just adjust the opacity and combine with another picture. I would perhaps go the route of a free app next time! Hope thus helps:)
How brilliant of you to create this to recognise your first year. I am going up to the end of the year of year one and I'm sure it won't be that creative! Fav for sure.
I really like this, I know how much it frustrated you while you were putting it together. Felicity 2016 wouldn't have tried!
A clever way to mark your first year.
