Looking back towards the Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkestone from the renovated formerly disused railway station. The original tramlines are still in situ.
This was taken a few weeks ago with a 1959 Russian rangefinder camera from Ebay and I was pleasantly surprised to find it seems to work, the main limitation being the photographer who doesn't always remember to remove the lens cap ...
I used to have a problem with remembering to remove the lens cap. This is a lovely photo. Looks from another era and the pov and composition are just so,
I love the composition of this shot and the fact it was taken with an old film camera gives it authenticity. I feel like I should step off the tracks in case a tram comes.
@vignouse The redevelopment of the station forms a pedestrian walkway which links the harbour arm directly to the town by utilising the newly opened viaduct which crosses the harbour and has now been pedestrianised. The former tram lines are still in place but flower beds have been planted in the middle of them full of poppies and sea holly.
Where is your thumb? I thought that was an essential part of film photography. Seriously, I'm really pleased to see what you and your new toy have produced after all your anxieties.

Wow - it worked!! And produced a nice vintage look to the shot - it looks really good on black - gives the tones a bit more depth. And your Sunny 16 seems to have been a success. I'm very excited for you!!
@golftragic There is another station in use in Folkestone. This one has now been pedestrianised together with the tram lines leading to the station on the viaduct crossing the harbour to form a walkway linking the harbour arm to the town. Sleepers form seating areas and flowers such as sea holly have been planted between the tram tracks. All rather pleasant:)
