Lawyer's Wig Fungus by fbailey

Lawyer's Wig Fungus

Also known as the Shaggy Ink Cap Fungus, a common sight in the UK. This shot was taken a few weeks ago in the local woods with my phone and I did go to the same spot yesterday with the 'proper' camera but sadly the fungi had disappeared.
They have such short spans of 'perfection.' Well documented with the camera at hand.

I can see the similarity with a barrister's wig but underneath this plant can't have the wisdom! Or maybe it does!
