Spotted this morning, two little baby Zebra finches, and by the look of the egg to the right, soon to be three. Am guessing the hatched pair are only a couple of days old. The little lines of white are beak edges as their eyes won't open for about 10 days. The parents are very young and don't have much of a clue on parenthood so am just hoping these little ones survive.
@suzanne234 So good to see you still here, do come back soon! No, sadly not. I think I may have put them off with all the interest in the offspring so am standing back here. I gave them some torn up gold dust aka loo paper as the babies were just on a few scraps of shredded paper but the silly beggars just covered the babies up with it and sat on them do I had to take that out. Thanks, a moment of madness re the profile!
Hope all is well with these little babies! We used to raise Zebra Finches. We love them and the little noises they make. Thanks for sharing their photo!
