Siren by fbailey

Siren

Another exhibit for the Triennial. This one sits upon the East Cliff above Folkestone and as can be seen from the footprints, visiting children have great fun playing inside.
Oh look at all those footprints from the children (and probably adults), how sweet. However, I'm no clean freak but they would drive me nuts!

@suzanne234 Thanks Suzanne. Me neither (I can't be with 3 dogs) but I think it's quite sad. Hasn't even been there for very long so goodness knows what it will look like eventually.

Given what's going on in North Korea at the minute, we might be glad of this shortly.

Designed for the children as much as a sculpture I would think!

@hermann @maggiemae @robz Oh thank you! So pleased it appealed to you. It's a fairly large structure and was surrounded by visitors yesterday - then again it was better weather.

It reminds me of an alpen horn.

What a neat monument, interesting facts. I prefer your siren and alway top preference would be that sea shell! We have sirens all over the place here... unfortunately we live close to a nuclear power plant - so hopefully the world will never hear them other than as a test of the sirens.
