My Get Pushed challenge this week came from Floran Hachez, who asked me to take on street photography with extra points for talking to a stranger and getting their photograph. I did not want to do this at all! The weather has been awful this week, and the roads treacherous, so I thought I might have got away with not doing this challenge. However, today the snow and ice melted.
So armed with a camera and a small Sheltie, I went over to Folkestone to have a walk around the harbour. On the top of the cliffs I met a charming man and his Rough Collie, Buddy. As Shetland Sheepdogs are like small versions of Rough Collies, we chatted away quite happily as dog owners do. I asked if he'd mind my taking a picture of Buddy and when he agreed without hesitation, I cheekily asked if I could photo both of them and explained why I wanted the picture. He was so kind and didn't appear to mind at all!
So here are Buddy and his owner, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting both of them.
Well done for braving asking a stranger if you could take his picture. I guess though that it was slightly easier since he has a beautiful Rough Collie with him.
You are inspiring me to maybe bring a camera the next time I go to the dog park. Such a lovely collie, so well-cared-for and pretty! You can tell by the looks on both their faces that they're both having a great time. Nice work!
