A little antique sugar spoon - it has holes at the end so you can sprinkle sugar over your strawberries! (*Go on, try to say it quickly twice, you know you want to!)
My sister bought this for me from Portobello Road market in London when we went there in the spring - she saw me admiring it and surprised me! We had a lovely day, made up for the one we had scheduled in February which was called off when I was suddenly struck down by a kidney stone...luckily I hadn't got on the train to Kings Cross yet.
Gosh you are all so wonderfully kind, looking at my eye shot and even commenting on it - what can I say but Thank You All - I so appreciate your opinions! :)
my grandmother had one of these, I loved using it to sprinkle the sugar, thanks for the lovely memory.
My mum has had a few kidney stones, so I know how painful they can be, you poor thing, I hope you don't get another
Wow! I love this! It's so beautiful and yet so practical in function. We Americans just blob it on and say "oh well, we don't have the proper sugar spoon".
nice spoon! I think I've seen something similar at my parents place but don't think it's meant to be used with strawberries... need to ask my mum about it
Nice silver sugar sifter, nicely lit. (What a kind sister)
