Isn't this pretty? It's one of a number of thatched cottages in the village - the date on the wall is 1500. My friend lives in it now and we have committee meetings in there, it's lovely inside too. I'm sure we aren't the first generation to meet in there! Today should have been the village may day festival, but it's been so wet it was cancelled, for the first time in 120 years. Made me wonder how many times folk had left this little cottage to join in...
You are all so kind and sweet and positive to call in to see my coloured glass by moonlight... I was delighted this morning to see it was in focus (!!) and that you could see so much. Thank you all - have a great (short) week! :)
It is such a pretty cottage - so English countryside...would love to see inside - Australia is a young country, so its a bit hard to grasp that this is dated 1500...and its still used as an everyday house - love it ...fav!!
Oh wow... what a beautiful country cottage. It has a colonial look to it. It also reminds me of the cottage that was used in Holiday with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. I love it! Great capture! A job well done!
Little cottages like this still are standing is amazing to me! Looks like it is right out of a storybook...but I do think, too, it has a beauty of its own..would love to see the inside!
