As I have less than 100 days left to complete my challenge I thought it was time to start doing the essential shots that I never knew existed until I did this project - especially on days when time is short and inspiration shorter. So here is a slightly old strawberry in some slightly flat lemonade... and as it's a bit arty, man, I thought I should put it in a frame. Yeah cool man.
My friend will be so touched by your lovely comments on her little cottage which I posted yesterday - it is a beautiful house, sympathetically furnished inside and yes, containing loads of original features especially as it has a 'listed' status meaning she has a duty to keep it intact for the next generations. Thank you all :)
This looks so beautifully refreshing and effervescent. Makes me a little thirty! If you have time, I'd LOVE for you to say how you shot this and if there are any tips you could share!
@thendrix58 Hello there! Thanks for your interest - I tried various ideas but in the end found a small glass with just enough lemonade to cover the strawberry worked well. I waited a little for the bubbles to form and attach to the fruit as well as the glass, and had it with daylight on one side. I put a chopping board behind it (!) for a plain background, and set my camera on a box on a macro setting at just about the right height. I liked this angle, with the daylight shining on the bubbles best of all. I upped the shadows a little on the computer, boosted the colour a bit and cropped it. My camera is very basic so a lot is click-and-see. Happy experimenting! (If only it were champagne and we could drink it after with benefits!!) :)
Thank you for explaining how you created this affect. It is quite effervescent! Pun intended. ;) Where is the list of essential shots for 365? I have never heard of that.
@sandier Thanks Sandie! There isn't a list of essential shots as such ... just my observing that a lot of shots seem to get done by lots of people - eg water crowns, drips, fruit in pop, moon... haven't done one of crayons yet or the reflection in a horse's eye.... so much playing still to do!! :)
