He Likes his View of Barcelona

Some way down the spiral staircase at the Sagrada Familia I came across a window and this chap, looking out over the pink rooftops and blue skies.. reminded me of my shot from Notre Dame last year ( http://365project.org/filsie65/just-stuff/2012-04-10) so of course I had to put him in! He was golden, and I used the flash to get that rather than have him as a black silhouette.
Blown away by your comments on my view of the inside of the basilica, you're all super smashing, thank you and I hope you have a super-smashing-Saturday!
I like his view of Barcelona too!

I love the angle you have captured of this great statue - not sure who it is - Jesus? or even Don Quixote? wonderful view of the city.

I was thinking about your shot from Paris when I saw the thumbnail. It's a great shot. I love the green and gold on the statue. Is it made of brass?

Excellent POV. Use of the flash was a flash of inspiration. It doesn't look 'flashed' but has worked very well xx

@helstor Hi Helge... I couldn't reach out to touch it to know for sure, but I'd take a guess it was painted stone, in keeping with a lot of the outside of the building. We saw workmen with paintbrushes working on the detail elsewhere, which could probably only be appreciated by the pigeons :)
