We almost forgot that Barcelona is also a seaside resort - there is so much going on in the town and the seafront's very busy with fishing boats, pleasure boats, enormous haulage vessels and more than a few cruise ships! We took a cold and windy trip around the harbour late one afternoon (the closest to a mediterranean cruise we'll ever manage!) and I snapped these enormous cranes, they felt like sentinels guarding the approaches to the city.
