Ancient, modern and never forgetting 3/52

At last! The computer and camera are working together... I can start to catch up. Had a lovely day in London with my sister, our first port of call was the poppies at the Tower of London. We had seen shots of them but my goodness what a sea of colour. Each one, 'planted' by a volunteer, represents someone British who died in WW1. By Armistice day it will be finished and I expect the 'moat' will be full. Sobering.

wow, Having those people in the scene really puts it into perspective! I like that London has mixed the old and the new.

Good shot. I've seen it and it is truly a remarkable sight . Difficult to comprehend so many lives lost!
