As my Dad is visiting for a few days we decided to show him what could be found in the woods close to our house. This is a picture of part of those woods, which are kept by the National Trust. As you can see here there were so many bluebells it looked like a whole carpet of them.
Along with the beautiful bluebells they also have a notice board, which has four suggestions of what your children (or you!) might want to do whilst in the woods. These are: Climb a tree, build a den, roll down a big hill and balance on a fallen tree. This is taken from the National Trusts list of 50 things to do before you are 11 ¾ years old. The full list can be seen here: https://www.50things.org.uk/
That looks like Ashridge to me. How many has your Dad ticked if the list today. The quite for re painting from my company Hash, Splash and Dash can be sent by email!!!
@padlock This picture was taken in Bradenham Woods, near the village of Bradenham in Buckinghamshire. Although my Dad is ticking things off his list I think it's actually growing with the amount he keeps adding to it! (We will keep you in mind for the decorating!) - Louise
@gillg Thank you Gill. I think these ones are about at their best. I did the walk about 2 weeks ago and there were no where near as many, but in parts of the woods some of them are looking past their best now. Good luck in finding some! - Louise
Beautiful, the flowers under the tree. I'm sure your Dad appreciated the gesture. did you see my sea of trilliums - a similar picture to yours - trilliums in the forest.
@tonydebont thank you Tony, and thank you for the fav! I love the thought of Robin Hood appearing... I will have to keep going back to see if he appears! -Louise
