We were treated to a spectacular evening sky on Monday, with the sun highlighting a quite large bank of cloud as it sank below the horizon.

Thank you all for your kind and generous comments. Sorry for the delay in replying and the collective response, but I had to go to my mums for a few days to look after her following a fall that she had in her garden and a short hospital stay. Hopefully things are back to normal now and I'll have more time to look at and comment on your wonderful photos.

Thank you for your concern Bruni. She was a little bruised and shaken up, but fortunately no serious damage this time. Only 24 hours in hospital before my brother could drive her home, and a few days rest while I looked after her. She seemed well enough for me to leave her, so I'm back in York now.
