Crocus in the sunshine

A beautiful sunny afternoon, so I went for a short walk on Clifton Ings. It's amazing how a few days of sunshine are transforming this area. Many flowers are beginning to bloom, leaf buds on the trees are opening, and many plants are having a growth spurt!

On a sheltered bank, I found a collection of crocuses in bloom, in a variety of colours, so the camera was quite busy! My personal favourite was this purple and white variegated specimen, so here it is for you to enjoy too.
