Questionable architecture!

Today I started in the 15th arrondissement, at Parc André Citroen, then walked by the Seine towards the Eiffel Tower. This stretch is quite industrial, but my guide book recommended looking at the interesting architecture on the way to take your mind off it! The red building on the edge of the picture is a hotel, and I think the others are office blocks. I'm not convinced by their designs myself, but then no one liked the Eiffel Tower when it was first built either! - Lucy
Wonderful walk!

Great view and a beautiful capture. I agree with you. For me, this modern architecture, without the Eiffel, this could be any city , even one in China

A lovely composition, with the eye leading towards the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Interesting city scape made so much softer by the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Beautiful scene and great composition. Can't say I really like the architecture. Much prefer the older buildings in the city center!

A great shot - is the boat in the foreground a river cruise ship? Love the Eiffel Tower against the sky.

If it wasn't for the Eiffel Tower one wouldn't know this place is in Paris.

@bruni Sorry Lucy, my comment sounded harsh. it's a nice picture, it's just I heard so much about the Seine and had a more romantic vision of it.

@angelat me too! In actual fact, you only have to look at the other side of the Seine to see classical French architecture. It's such a contrast - Lucy

@bruni I agree Bruni! This is quite a way out of the centre, the stretch of Seine that runs from the notre dame to the louvre is more conventional - lucy
