The Bois de Boulogne in the 16th arrondissement of Paris is a mostly hidden gem. The main part of the area revolves around a lake which has two islands in the middle of it. You can take a 'bateau' to the little 'chateau' and have a meal on one of them if you're that way inclined, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you carry on, off the beaten track, you eventually come to another chateau - built by Marie Antoinette's brother-in-law - in an area called Bagatelle. The gardens here are particularly fine, and it's one of these you see here in this picture. - Lucy
O my gosh! You mean I passed by the Bois de Boulogne so many times and never got to see this!? I think I need to go back to Paris! This is a gorgeous shot and beautiful composition. Fav, of course!
