Another shot from the walk that I did south of York University while Lucy was at the Grad Fair last week.
This section of the route was the furthest section from the university, but although it looks a peaceful place to walk, there is a busy dual carriageway road immediately to the right of the hedge on the right hand side of the shot.
The path to the left of the hedge is the route along which I walked, and this shot is taken from a footbridge over the busy road.
This is nice Ian and as the hedge would have cut you off visually from the dual-carriageway... I guess it only required a small effort to screen out the traffic noise as well so that you could enjoy the countryside views.
Thank you Ferry - walking is allowed here, the gates are to deter anyone in a motor vehicle from trying to take a short cut along farm tracks and paths.
Thank you Cathie - the nice thing about this walk is that it can be extended as much as you like. There are a series of increasingly long routes, each with their own attractions.
Thank you Richard - the road can't be seen, but there is a lot of noisy heavy traffic. I tend to put on a burst of speed along this section to get away from it!
A great pov. and capture
Thank you Gadaza, it's a lovely piece of countryside to wander in.
