Easingwold by fishers

Easingwold

Easingwold is a market town some 12 miles north north west of York and is on a very convenient bus route which passes close to where I live. I've passed through Easingwold many times, but never really explored it, so yesterday I took the opportunity to do that.

I found a useful town trail containing lots of historical information and background detail, and followed that, dscovering many interesting places and things to take photos of.

This shot is of Uppelby, a broad grass and tree lined street, with a range of attractive houses of various ages. Once a separate village, Uppelby is now very much part of Easingwold. It is a conservation area, to protect it's beauty.

Beautiful, love your 'rambling' through the countryside and your bits of history along the way. Great shot of the character of this neighbourhood.
