This stained glass is in the Church of St Mary and All Saints in Chesterfield, and records the lives, work and industry of Chesterfield people during the 750 years since the founding of the church. It was installed in 1984 and is one of a number of attractive modern stained glass windows in the church.
This is only the second time that Katharine and I have been to Chesterfield, the previous occasion being last November. It isn't very far from where our daughter Lucy lives, so she met us there and we explored the church, the museum, a huge outdoor market and a lovely park, as well as looking at some of the interesting and varied architecture around the town. A thoroughly enjoyable day, and our cameras were kept busy!
Nice to hear from you all, and thank you for your kind comments!
