A complete change of location today. I've been visiting Lucy who is currently living near Alfreton, in the East Midlands, on the border between Derbyshie and Nottinghamshire.
Lucy and I went for a walk on Monday, through this former coal mining area, with it's gentle rolling hills. We had just walked over the hill and were looking back the way we had come. The village on the hilltop is Pinxton.
We were both curious why the horse should be stood looking south towards a hedgerow. He never moved his view the whole time we could see him.
Thank you all for your comments and favs, it's lovely to hear from you.
One of the reasons that I enjoyed this walk so much is that the landscape is very simular to where I grew up in South Yorkshire, so it did trigger a few memories.
