Yesterday, I found myself exploring Hull, which is this year's UK City of Culture. Hull is a fascinating mixture of old and new, and I was looking for the old as I wandered around the 'Old Town' part of the city.
Imagine my surprise when I came across this street art in Posterngate. It has been there a while (it can be seen on the May 2015 streetview of the area on Google). It shows elements of the history of Hull.
It brings back memories of my sales visits to Hull in the 80's. The industrial area wreaked of vinegar from the Humber Pickle Factory and the roads were blue thanks to Reckitts.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
For those interested, the images in this street art represent the Humber Bridge (top), sporting success (centre left), the end of slavery (centre right) and ? (bottom)
