From the Chronicles of Narnia books, Aslan, also known as The Great Lion, is the creator and one true king of the world of Narnia, and generally a representation of all that is good.
This is one of a number of window displays in what used to be the Debenhams shop in Davygate, York. The displays are based mainly on childrens stories, and they were attracting quite a lot of children (and even more adults) yesterday late afternoon when Katharine and I went to see them. People were well behaved and carefully maintaining social distance, and many were wearing masks - it felt quite a safe event.
Thank you all for your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.
We have good memories of these stories. The BBC produced a series based on The Lion the Witch and the Waderobe back in the 1980s, and while staying in the area, we visited Manorbier Castle, South Wales, where parts of the filming were done. Louise, a young child at that time was thrilled to see the real castle from the tv series.

Ian
wonderful way to entertain people whilst still maintaining rules and regulations
Thank you Nina - I really want to get more photos of these windows if I get chance.
