Another shot from yesterday and my walk in the snow. This is the remains of a cow parsley seed head, with the snow filling some of the gaps where the seeds once were.
By the time I took this shot, the snow was melting quite quickly, and it was raining as you can see from the streaks in this shot.
Great close up and snow capture. Fav.
( We do it for centuries. In fact our country would n`t exist if there where no knotted willows. The base of the old dikes are made by braided mats of willow branches.)
Oh aren't they pretty! As requested, I have photographed the tiny bit of snow that fell here today! I think you might laugh. We really didn't get a lot!

It is several years since we had a heavly snowfall - and even more years since I walked in the Yorkshire Dales when it was covered in a carpet of snow. I have to make do with what little we now see.
