Yesterday was a beautifully sunny but cold day, so I went for a walk on the flood bank along Clifton Ings. The flood water of ten days ago ( http://365project.org/fishers/365/2021-01-23 ) has dropped considerably. It is probably about 3 metres (10 feet) or more lower than it was then, but there is still quite a large shallow lake which will take a while to clear.
In the shadow of the row of trees beside the stream across the site, some of the water was frozen. Occasional gaps in the trees give the sunlight chance to reflect off the ice and create patterns, and this shot shows an example of this. I've boosted the contrast to make the patterns clearer. There are also reflections of some of the trees on the smoother parts of the ice.
Thank you all for your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.
No more ice or snow today, the temperature is up to 5C and the sun is hidden behind a thick grey blanket of cloud.

Thank you Nina - the ice can form fascinating patterns.
