More from Lucy, this time in the Lego pirates area of Legoland, where these slightly larger than life pirates have formed a band and look as if they are enjoying playing.
There is a constant process of updating the displays. When I visited in 2012 the pirate band was under cover and were a different collection of characters.
Legoland Windsor is remarkably popular. In 2019, the park had 2.43 million visitors, making it the most visited theme park in the United Kingdom and 9th-most visited theme park in Europe.
Lucy and family had chosen a good time to go. Visitor numbers are limited due to Covid-19 restrictions so there were non of the usual crowds and no need to queue.
My grandson has been to Legoland - in Denmark, I think - a couple of years ago and he had such a blast. Amazing how, with some patience and some geniality, what you can make with these blocks.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav, they are very much appreciated.
It would be interesting to visit Legoland again, but it really needs to be on a dry day. So much to see there, most of it outdoors (and indoor areas are currently closed due to Covid-19 restrictions). Lots of great photo opportunities!
