Dr Who and the Daleks

I clearly remember watching the very first Dr Who TV series in the early 1960s, in fact I even have three of the early series on DVD, including the one where the Doctor first met the Daleks. This creation at the craft exhibition at All Saints Church, Kirkbymoorside, called 'A Kingdom of Stories' dates from a later period (mid to late 1970s) when Tom Baker played the role of the Doctor, and he was still battling the Daleks.

I’m a little worried about these Daleks though - they look as if they have been consuming too much fattening food and could do with a diet. You would think that with all the chasing around the Universe they wouldn’t put on weight!

Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav, they are very much appreciated.

So this afternoon I had to watch my DVD of the original Dr Who (William Hartnell) and his first meeting with the daleks. It reminded me of childhood, when it was too frightening to watch and too exciting to miss. A super burst of nostalgia!
