Twinkle Pike Way is a temporary name for a cul-de-sac in Wigginton, on the north side of York, where the outsides of the houses are decorated for Christmas each year, and where funds are collected for local charities. They have been decorating their houses for over 20 years and during that time they have raised over £83,000 for various charities. The money raised this year is being shared between St Leonard’s Hospice, Breast Cancer Now and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Lucy and her family went to see the display last night, and these are a small selection of the photos that she took there.
How very nice of them to use this innovative idea to raise money for charity. Besides, they are making their area very attractive. Well done to them and to you for your pictures.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
I hope you have enjoyed your Christmas tour with us over the last few days.
