In addition to the hanging basket display, the Thirsk Yarnbombers have also decorated some of the bollards in the Market Place with crochet versions of the Ukrainian flag. Some have crochet flowers on them - the white rose representing Yorkshire and the sunflower representing Ukraine.
I continue to be surprised at the level of support for the Ukraine. It seems to be growing as well. We haven't heard from Katharine's relatives in western Ukraine recently, though that is probably good news. I think we are more likely to have heard if something bad had happened.

The people of Ukraine have shown remarkable courage and strength in the face of the Russian invasion, they really are earning their freedom in a very difficult way.
