Parasaurolophus by fishers

Parasaurolophus

Another shot that Katharine took last Thursday at the Sheffield Bricktropolis 2022. This is the third time that Sheffield has held a Bricktropolis event. The first year was a collection of famous buildings, the second one was space themed, and this year it is dinosaurs.

This model is of a Parasaurolophus, and was located in the Millennium Gallery. The original Parasaurolophus lived in North America and is recognisable for the long crest protruding from the back of Its skull. Fully grown, it was 9 metres long.

The model is made of 113,625 Lego bricks. It took 5 builders almost 400 hours to complete, and it weighs 506.5kg. It has a height of 222cm and is 315cm in length and 127cm wide.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated. Katharine was thrilled that her shot made it on to the Popular Page.

I'm quite disappointed that I won't get to see this display myself - it finishes at the end of this week and we currently have Lucy and her family visiting, so I'm far too busy playing with our grandchildren!
