During the first part of October we posted several shots of the Ghosts in the Gardens event in York. Well, we ended up with two ghosts that we hadn't managed to find, so last Sunday, Katharine and I went to find the missing two.
This fishing cat was in the garden of Middletons Hotel, beside the fish pond. When we found it we were pleased to see two goldfish swimming close to the cat.
We also had a look at some of the buildings which compose the hotel, which has been gradually extended over the years. There is even a building that was once used as home for a church organ buillding.
Middletons Hotel has been a regular supporter of events in York. They had some of the ice sculptures in their garden in February, and in early summer hosted one of the giant deck chairs. Now they have joined the Ghosts in the Gardens event. It's good to see their community involvement.
Finding the fishing cat just left us with one more to find, so it was back to the Museum Gardens to continue the search.
Oh I love a treasure hunt, I hope you find (and show us) the last one. What a great thing for the hotel to do, they probably have as much fun organising it.
A lovely shot too of the cat and the obliging fish.
Fabulous location to position this cat and you were very lucky to find the goldfishes coming close as if to be included in your capture. Well timed and captured.

brilliant capture
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
See next post for the Ghosts in the Gardens finale! We will have to look for another challenge to keep us occupied.

Thank you! We had walked past this one on a previous attempt to find it - I'm glad we finally tracked it down. The fish were a great bonus!

Thank you Kathy - the fish were good enough to pose for me!
