Fun here for the children on the York Ice Trail. A sculpture of a park and ride bus front, with a large opening where the windscreen would be, so that children can have their photos taken.
The park and ride buses had a very busy day on both Saturday and Sunday. We were unable to catch a park and ride bus at our local bus stop, because they were already full from the park and ride site, so we ended up walking into the city centre. It was very much business as usual for York, with a packed city centre much like it would have been before the pandemic.
Yes, even here. For the most of us it is business as usual again. Good for the economy, not so much for vulnerable persons. Very nice shot. Nice to see children having fun again.
I took this shot at 14:22. It was one of the last shots I took before we headed home. We were in the central area of sculptures from around 13:30. We spent most of the morning going round the sculptures further from the centre. It was a really enjoyable day!
The ice sculptures last for a day. A second set of sculptures were created for the second day of the trail. It was quite warm on the first day (12C), so some of the more delicate sculptures were deformed by early afternoon.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, thay are very much appreciated.
The children loved this bus front. I passed this sculpture several times, and each time there was a crowd of children around it.

Thank you both. Whenever I passed this sculpture there were children waiting their turn!
