Ashe Juniper by gaylewood

Ashe Juniper

Ashe juniper is a small, many-stemmed tree found in rocky limestone soil from central to west Texas. It is the dominant juniper of the Texas hill country, and is usually referred to as cedar. The large blueberry-like cones are eagerly eaten by wildlife. The pollen from the male trees in winter can cause an allergic reaction in some people. Unfortunately, I suffer from cedar allergies.
