Greetings! I'm from Connecticut (USA) Photography is one of my lifelong passions (others including gardening, woodworking, history, and being a part...
I'm in the Northeast - just a little further north than you are (in Massachusetts)......it's been just as hot here for the last several days though maybe not as dry as what you've had. They have tightened up on outdoor water use though. This is a beautiful flower photo.....especially with the water droplets. Hoping for more rain in your direction!
@mwarren365 Thank you, Mike. Instead of using a macro to get the droplets, I just backed up and zoomed in; it worked a lot better for the detail. Be well, Les
@mjmaven WOW! We're neighbors! That is sooo cool (unlike the weather :p) Water restrictions here too. And thanks for the lovely compliment; I like this one too. (If you don't mind, I'd like to refer to you by name, or nickname, or initials when I leave you a comment, so what would you like me to use??) Be well, stay cool, Les
Us too. We're in the middle of winter and they are supposed to be very wet but I've been having to water my garden which is ridiculous in winter. What a beautiful shot, love the light in the petals.
@deens Lots of thanks, Nadine. Sometimes I'm really "connected" to what I'm photographing, you know? And when I am, something like this is the result. (I'm going to sound really "out there", but I often talk tenderly and quietly to what it I'm photographing; with animal life it can have an amazingly calming effect. There, now you know that I'm officially a "ninny hammer" LOL) And as to your need for rain, I am much surprised, even more so that you have a garden in WINTER??? Love to know what's in it some time. Be very well, Les
@maggie2 Ahhhh, Many thanks, Maggie. We got a liitle rain today, but much more importantly, the temps have fallen off 20-30 degress than a few days ago. ( Kitty and I both have our appetite back now that the heat is gone; time to "chow down!" LOL Thanks for stopping by ,Les
