After a day of Manual Labour (I believe he's a Spanish builder of some repute) building stairs and ramps at my Father-in-Laws house todays photo is bought to you in a time warp from last night when we went to the beach for sunset shots. Right now I am indulging in a Vodka Mudshake before taking the dogs for a walk (or weaving down the road in a drunken shamble anyway), shortly after which my parents will arrive for diner. The joy.

Gorgeous colors in that sky! I'm sorry I missed your birthday, so happy belated birthday to you!!! Enjoy the mudshake; have enough of those and it becomes easier to deal with the parents!
Do not weave and shamble in front of your parents... they will know why. Otherwise, this is lovely and the colors are gorgeous. The edges of the bird's silhouette are crystal clear. :)
I like the colours - it sort of disturbed me you know "twilight" - I don't ( had to google ) hahaha oh you know I am lying - what I do like is I can join you for a drink and therefore cannot be called a lush - well I can - don't really care - have a great night

A very parent/in law friendly weekend. Since giving up the smokes you have become very friendly. Even this photo is nice and friendly. I think you need to up your meds! In the meantime, that colour of that sky is gorgeous :)
What ha happened to you? Has the vodka mud shake (whatever it is) lightened your darker leanings? Maybe you ought to do the opposite to @gigiflower and stop taking the meds altogether! Then the dark would dominate!

@graemestevens It takes a while to appreciate the power of LR - what will really make a difference to your images is when you master the power of the local adjustment brush, the radial filter and the gradient tool. For me, the best guide has been the free tutorials put on line by Serge Ramelli - www.photoserge.com . Start at the beginning and you will get get some amazing insights into what can be done. He often, in my opinion, goes over the top with his processing but that doesn't take away from the value of his tutorials.
