Wow, what a nice capture, Katy. Love the color and detail that you captured. I do not get this lucky with insects with the exception of the moth. I thought you were doing a collage?
Beautiful work on this..great capture! I must not be living right .. I haven't even seen one of these guys yet! Of course, it could be the cold weather keeping all of these guys away. Love the color tones here and the delicacy.
@darsphotos This is the first live dragonfly I have captured. I do have some other insects but this one was a goal. My collage is in the competitions album
@karenann This is the first live one I have seen this year and your weather is probably the reason you haven't seen any yet . they will come and I am sure you will do a fabulous shot when you see one!

Katy I will come back to your picture later but first I like to thank you for commenting on mine..may I explain. my daughter took this photo when she and her partner were on a Scandinavian cruise and had a two day stopever in St. Petersburg, Russia. so the building is one of her shots. I have her whole cruise on my computer..now my screensaver on my computer is moving very slowly from one picture to the next frame and that way overlapping a bit. at the right moment before the one fades out and the other one comes in that's when I take a picture of it. this was my first try.
