Australian Easter Bunny by grammyn

Australian Easter Bunny

Although I have been to Australia and seen Koalas, Wallabies and Kangaroos I don't remember hearing about a Bilby. This is a Bilby which is on the endangered list. It is a marsupial that is being promoted as the Easter Bilby to raise public awareness for its endangered position.

I might never have heard of it except for the thoughtfulness of Leonie who included it in the box she sent me.
By the way, the Chicos are all but gone!
So cute! Love those ears. Nice focus. I had to look up bilbies.

@jolefont
An adult male Bilby can weight up to 2.5kg, with body length up to 55cm plus a tail of up to 29cm. Females are about
half the size of males.

Cute shot! So that's a Bilby!
February 12th, 2014
@onie_m He is so sweet and now his awareness has been raised world wide! Albeit to a limited audience! (;

I guess I failed because I DID let the sun set on the open bag of chicos. In my defense I didn't even open it until the sun had set so maybe that counts for something?

@espyetta Thanks MB I put him there because of the light but in the end liked the monochrome effect too
February 12th, 2014
@jolefont Thanks Jo Ann I see Onie already answered about the size which is good because I didn't know!!
February 12th, 2014
I have never heard of that.
You have educated me a bit this morning.
February 12th, 2014
@marilyn Thanks, sissy. I started out there because I needed the light and then just liked the blend so kept it
February 12th, 2014
