...my sense of smell. The savory scent of a spaghetti and meat ball dinner, clean air after it has been washed by rain, flowers, puppy breath, or the powdery scent of a just bathed baby are all things that make me thankful I can smell.
During this pandemic a loss of the sense of smell is a better predictor of the disease than other symptoms
In addition to being the sense most closely linked to memory, smell is also highly emotive and as such is often governed by association. The sense of smell is more important to us than we realize.
Well, some of the smells I can do without..... ( 3 boys in puberty..I guess you know what that may smell...lol) Food tho...doesn't fast the same without the smell. Great pick!
I looove the smell of spaghetti and I can already smell the aroma of this yummy looking meal. I have actually have a friend who has no sense of smell, he's gotten used to it but says he often miss certain scents. It's hard to imagine life without it. Definitely something to be grateful for.
Yes, the sense of smell is such a special one- something cooking in the crockpot or oven all day, lavender and chocolate (not together though!), anything baking (especially bread!), a nice bath soap and Jean Nate afterbath splash are the things that come to mind for me. Dinner looks good and what a great discussion!
