Happy accident, or at least in my eyes it's a happy one. I was playing around with a feature called "zebra" on the sony a6000, (a new feature for me) and working on intentional overexposures. I darkened it a bit in post but there is something about it that appeals to me. I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts. Thanks, as always.
I really like the bottom half - maybe with a little of the top still showing, or maybe with all of the top after the tree outlines were made more definite with a dodge and burn?
I find it so interesting that the top is overexposed but the reflection is normal with slightly abstract ripples. It's like you got two photo effect for the price of one. Haha.
By the way, looks like we both had fun with reflections today!
If you cut the bottom half to give a high key, almost minimalist image with the distant tree echoing the main subject I'd fav it! Maybe leave in just a bit of the bank to anchor it.
@yrhenwr All right...thank you David...I'm going to start playing not that I'm back after a week's hiatus...good critique...I'll post it in others and let me know what you think.
