Wood for the trees by halkia

Wood for the trees

2.03 pm: Taken in nearby Park Cronesteyn. During this time of year the ground is completely covered with bear garlic (daslook in Dutch) which exudes a heavy onion-like smell.

There used to be a castle here but all that's left of it now are parts of the moat. The castle itself was demolished in the 16th century during the Eighty Years' War against Spain.

Lovely scene. Can see the castle behind. Seems to be a great place to walk and smell.

Great processing, I love the textural element the daslook adds.
