We have had a lovely day in Manchester in & out of the shops. Lydia spent some of her money in Jack Wills & bought a long sleeved blue & white polo shirt & a navy jacket. I treated myself to a cardigan in Jigsaw & generally spent a little bit of money...we have to help the economy !!!! The sun came out at last & was quite warm. This guy in the photo here was playing great jazz type music which was very enjoyable !
Looks lovely - we have always rushed through Manchester/bypassed it altogether heading for our favourite B&B!!
Was BEAUTIFUL here today .... twenty-something degrees......and one more day forecast before back to teen figures!!
It's a great city - I was a student there and fell in love...aaahhhh!!! I think the balls might be a more recent addition. I'm looking forward to the BBC moving to Salford - the North should get more of the attention and respect it deserves then. Got to get that economy back on track!!
What a wonderful place to go shopping Pat - I'm glad you girls had such a fun day. The whole scene looks very relaxed - and the addition of the jazz music would have been a bonus.
@digitalrn Not really Rick it was quite busy ! A little deceptive because this part is actually quite a large square with stalls & plants for sale etc , was quite hard to decide which photo to take as I wanted to be able to see some features too. @murnane@jquinn@stepheesue Thanks girls for your comments !
Such a wonderful street shot, Pat! I almost feel like I'm part of the action...except for the fact I can't actually do any shopping with you. Sounds like you had a fabulous day!
@phil_howcroft@peggysirk@chewyteeth I love street scenes Phil & can't say I am a flower photographer at all really although I love other peoples ! I did see others with cameras out & we sort of smile sheepishly at each other although I am getting much braver with my camera nowadays ! We did have a great day Peggy thanks & Manchester was buzzing & very lively with great shops ! Thanks for the comments !
