I have been on my hands & knees this morning taking flower shots. There is a guy in the barn opposite painting ..he must have thought I was nuts ! I am quite pleased with the focus of this & to find when I uploaded that there was a fly on the flower too was a bonus !
Have been a bit of colour these last couple of days so haven't ventured out at all so had to make do with the garden. Going to sit & read this afternoon. Perhaps something more interesting tomorrow !
What a beautiful composition, Pat!! I'll second the perfect DOF comment! Such a gorgeous photo ~ worth having the painter think you're a bit nuts. :) Hope you feel better...a day of rest sounds like a good idea.

Get well soon Pat! I was looking at the pic trying to remember the name and then I looked at your title!! It really is pretty and I like the lavender behind too - you've cracked the DOF shots anyway!!
Ahh, I see the fly now. I didn't at first. The fly just adds something as if it's saying, "This flower is all mine.." I also like the lavender in the background.
this is beautiful! love the focus! so, if you've been a "bit of colour" does that mean you've not felt so well? and if so, then why were you down on your hands and knees trying to get the shot? seriously, it was worth it but I hope you feel better!
