An evening with John Denver

Harry & I had a very enjoyable evening last night at the village hall listening to a guy called Chris Bannister do a wonderful evening of John Denver songs. He sounded exactly like the man himself with a beautifully clear strong voice. I had forgotten over the years how much I liked his songs & most of all how wonderful the lyrics of his songs were.
I won a voucher for a fresh turkey in the raffle & we had lasagne & mince pies washed down with red wine ( Harry was driving ) !!
A good chat to all our old neighbours & farming friends, all in all a very good night !
Tonight it is Blackpool Opera house & Alfie Boe & then we will perhaps walk & couple of hundred yards & have a look at Blackpool Tower Ballroom & see what is happening there !!

@karenann Thank you Karen !! The final of Strictly Come Dancing is on at Blackpool Tower Ballroom tonight so the town will be buzzing with ''celebrates'' just a coincidence that we will be so near there tonight so I might do a paparazzi shot !!!!
