I love this photo of Max taken last weekend on his holidays. He is a brave boy & doesn't seem to fear anything, up for all new adventures.!! Anthony & Jo have been with about six other families who all farm round the area they live in to Lake Waikaremoana, staying in fishermen's cabins, boating, fishing & walking.
You can see the excitement on his little face !!
Little boys are fearless, I think! He's totally enjoying this adventure. Isn't it wonderful how they don't experience being afraid like we do as adults (especially mothers)? Great candid photo, Pat. :)
Gorgeous! Love that little face. Not long now and you'll be getting a cuddle! So who looks after the farms when they're all away? It sounds like a brilliant, fun getaway together. Rebecca gave me a couple of copies of her new book - hilarious - I've told her that 'The Deep End' is breaking New Zealand!
@judithg Yes she might get a few more orders !I will definitely be buying more of her books. They are the ones that have beef & sheep Judith so as long as some one keeps an eye on the stock & minds the dogs they can have time away.
@jmj Must certainly NOT like his gran Jennifer !! I hate to go on any ride or fairground thing but on second thoughts do like adventures so you're perhaps not far wrong !!
Love this how your eye is drawn straight to Max. Beautiful vibrant blue. Rick and I love to take a holiday occassionally with other farming friends. Guess you can take the country from the boy but not the boy from the country, most of the talk is about cows and pastures.
Yep that's one little dare devil in the making pat - what a gorgeous grin. I love that sense of wonderment kids have at this age. EVERYTHING is new and fascinating for them. We should all try and recall that wonderment when we head off into the day.
@judithg Yes Judith cows are ''put dry'' for about 2 months sometimes longer before they calve & that's when farmers usually have time off but when were we milking we did it all year round for a steady milk supply, UK buyers like a continual supply of milk whereas NZ milk mostly goes for the powdered milk market to Asia. We calved all year round & NZ block calves.
@peggysirk Just me Peggy this February, Harry is going in December. We are taking our daughter & family & all going for Christmas in the sun this year.
Very nice POV!
