I must go down to the sea again the lonely sea & the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship & a star to steer her by,
And the wheels kick & the winds sing & the white sails shaking,
And a grey mist to the seascape & a grey dawn breaking.

Oh my word Pat!! I LOVE this! I'd put it on my wall right now. Your composition is bang on and @phil_howcroft will be all over that letterbox crop. Fav x 10
@kwiksilver Yes Gillian John Masefield, I should have put it on so thanks for reminding me !!! It is a magnificent poem & lovely to remember it again !
It's one of those poems I recite to myself every time I go down to the beach - which is often :) And you've given me a wonderful idea for another poem I love :)))) oooooh, now I either have to travel to France or find some white horses :))
No it's not 'kiss me quick' - it's serene!! My ancestors were sailors - I think that's why I get drawn to the sea. Mind you Nigel's were miners and he has a pot-holing phobia!
Gorgeous! Saw this on pp and love the composition and that it is in b&w. I tried a b&w landscapes yesterday and was not happy. I appreciate how difficult this is to capture. Fav.

You've made Blackpool look gorgeous.
Letterbox, monochrome, minimalistic landscape it ticks all the boxes for me.
