21 miles! by happypat

21 miles!

I have been with our daughter & son in law on the Guild Wheel today.
The Guild Wheel is a 21 mile circular route around Preston. It was constructed especially to commemorate the 2012 Preston Guild.
The path takes you through Ladywell Woods, through Ribbleton , London road, Avenham Park, Preston Docks . Cottam & back via Broughton Village.
The amazing thing is you would never dream you are in such a busy area as most of the path is along the River Ribble in tree lined little paths.
I enjoyed it so much & the weather was perfect!

Three good things:
1. The invention of cycling shorts!!!!
2. The smell of hot cross buns as we cycled behind Asda.
3. Fish & Chip supper in the village chippy later!
Good for you! Sure wish there were better trails near home for me

Very energetic. Cycling in a circle must be a good thing. Enjoy your Fish and Chimps. Will you be having Mushy Bees? That's one of my favourite jokes :)

I would love to cycle along asphalt paths! This is where you have to get off or wiggle your way through, overbalance and fall off!
