Met Cathy in Preston today, she wanted me to help her pick some new glasses.
We had such a lovely chat over toasted teacakes & coffee in Marks & Spencers we nearly forgot what the main purpose of our visit was...a rush to the car park afterwards!!!! No tickets thank goodness!!!!
Preson town centre was on high alert as there is a very big trial going on in the Law Courts..
A man is being tried who is accused of four murders & four attempted murders.
Two of the murders were two police lady constables who he allegedly lured to a hoax burglary & shot them point blank.
There were armed officers everywhere, outside & on roof tops.
Just noticed the collage has chopped off half the police but you get the drift!!!!
We are entertaining tonight so unfortunately will not have time for any comments! Will catch up tomorrow.
Three good things:
1. The house is all tidy with fire on & lamb in the oven plus wine out ready!
2. A lovely chat with my daughter this afternoon...a rare luxury these days a she is so busy!
3. Walked through M&S & never looked at any clothes!!!!
re. number3 no point looking they are rubbish!! Exciting times in Preston then........I'm surprised you weren't arrested taking photos of the police (note I did not say shots!)
@fannyb I took these from the multi story car park!!! I must admit I was slightly worried they might think I had a gin!!!!.........reread that as gun!!!!!!! Ha ha my mind is on the gin & tonic I am about to drink!!!
Why so many police - that evil man is in custody! Perhaps they are worried about the public making a physical scene! Nice to hear about your enjoyable day and the ending!
It's been all go in Preston with Suart Hall as well. That seems a sad state of affairs whatever's going on there. I was expecting to see the old Crown Court but I see there's a fancy new one.
You must have felt quite safe with all those armed guards everywhere. Sounds like a lovely day with your daughter and now a fun night with friends. Good way to start the weekend.
Sounds, and looks, like serious business taking place in Preston. I hope that justice is served. And it sounds like you had a lovely day and evening, Pat!
